The expedition starts at the large parking lot at Cervenohorske sedlo. From there, follow the red tourist sign towards the Bily sloup signpost. The path is easy, gravelly and with a slight incline.
From the Bily sloup signpost, you will continue along the yellow tourist sign, towards the Snezna kotlina, or to Cervena hora (1333 m above sea level). Here you will feel a significant elevation.
On Cervena hora there is a lookout point with rock formations, from where you can see Praded (1492 m above sea level), Vozka (1377 m above sea level) or Keprnik (1423 m above sea level) in beautiful weather.
Then the route will take you towards the Kamenne okno.
We will continue along the yellow tourist route to the signpost Sedlo pod Vresovkou. There are several views along the way, both of the mountains and the valley.
At the Sedlo pod Vresovkou signpost, we head towards the Trojmezi signpost, following the red tourist sign, the so-called ridge. Here you will have an elevation gain of less than 120 meters on a length of 1.2 kilometers.
Trojmezi is the name of a flat saddle (1316 m above sea level) in the Keprnicky highlands of the Hruby Jesenik Mountains, where the ridges of Cervena hora, Vozka and Keprnik meet in the Jesenik District and the Sumperk District. The name Trojmezi is based on the fact that the borders of the Velke Losiny, Kolstejn (today Branna) and Fryvaldov (today Jesenik) estates met here.
From the Trojmezi signpost, turn left, follow the yellow tourist sign, towards the top of Vozka. The route leads through a fairytale forest, over a few wooden walkways.
Then you will appear at the U Vozky signpost, from where you will follow the green tourist sign, where the rocks on the top of Vozka will peek out after a few meters.
It is the eighth highest peak of the Hruby Jesenik Mountains. Here are 7 meters high rocks on the top of the mountain that you can climb. In beautiful weather, there is a beautiful view of Vresova studanka, Praded or Kralicky Sneznik (not part of the Hruby Jesenik Mountains).
A legend has been preserved, according to which the administrator was given the task of transporting a wagon full of bread over the Jeseníky ridge and thus helping the starving inhabitants on the northern side of the mountains. The administrator did not want to do it too much, he was in a hurry to do other work and did not like his serfs very much. He set out late, so that he would be at the castle by evening and shorten his way over the mountain ridges. However, he should not have done that, because he got stuck in a swamp. Night was approaching, the wheels were firmly stuck in the snow and mud, it was impossible to go forward or backward with it.
In a hopeless situation, the coachman got angry, and pulled down the tarpaulin and began to put bread under the wheels. He spurred the horses on with his whip, the loaves disappeared into the dug ground.
But then came a terrible storm that no one had remembered before. Torrents of rain, snow, thunder, lightning, gales! After it calmed down, a new rock appeared on the Jeseniky hills, which has the form of a loaded horse-drawn wagon with a coachman.
Then you will continue along the green tourist sign down to the valley where Huciva Desna springs, and where you can cool off. The steep route is lined with roots.
Then you will continue towards the Sedlo pod Vresovkou signpost, where you already know it. You will follow a route from which there is a beautiful view of Cervena hora (1333 m above sea level).
From here you will continue along the red tourist sign to Vresova studanka. The route is not difficult, you will climb easily.
After a kilometer, a small chapel of Vresova studanka peeks out at us. From the chapel there are beautiful views of the nearby peaks of Spaleny vrch (1313 m above sea level), Vozka (1377 m above sea level) and even the more distant Keprnik (1423 m above sea level).
Then you will continue along a gravel road, which may already be familiar to you. After a few kilometers, you will find yourself at the Bily sloup signpost, from where you set out to the Snow Basin. So you will already know the way to the parking lot.
